SPSS Courses
I'm going to look at as many SPSS courses as I can, offered by universities and private companies or individuals for a fee, or free on-line. If I consider them relevant to survey research and also good, I'll add details below. See also: On-line SPSS intros and tutorials
Imperial College, London
Training courses are designed for people who need to perform data or statistical analysis using SPSS for Windows. These are hands-on computer based courses. Examples are taken from medical and health related research but are not of a specialised nature. The courses are aimed at participants from any subject area.
SPSS UK
SPSS Training offers a wide range of options for learning how to optimise your use of SPSS software. With more than 30 courses on topics ranging from statistical analysis and survey research to data mining and predictive analytics, you willl find courses that will help you provide greater value to your organisation and further develop your own skills.
ASSESS (SPSS Users in Europe)
ASSESS is an independent user group for SPSS, a computer package for analysing and presenting data. It is run by users, for users. The group is currently centred on the United Kingdom where it holds an annual conference and other events, but we have had many members from other countries over the years. New members are always welcome. There is no registration fee and in joining ASSESS you are making no commitments. We also run occasional courses (eg on syntax or Python)
University of Sheffield
Figure it out is a consultancy service based at the Institute of Work Psychology, University of Sheffield. The service is managed by Dr Chris Stride, a statistician with 15 years experience in advising and teaching managers, academics and graduate students of wide-ranging ability and understanding. They offer specialist services in Data Management and occasional public training courses (eg Multi-level modelling with SPSS)
Indiana University
This 2008 set of tutorials by John Samuel introduces prospective researchers to SPSS 16 for Windows, which currently runs under Windows XP or Vista.
